Stray Animal Intake Fees:
Crossroads Animal Shelter is a limited Admission Facility. What this means, is that we only intake animals as we have the space and stuffing to hold and care for them. Crossroads Animal Shelter does provide stray services for $50 per stray animal.
If you are able and willing to provide temporary care and shelter Crossroads will gladly provide you with supplies (food, bedding) until we can schedule an appointment. please note that wait times vary seasonally and Crossroads does not accept feral cats as “strays” We have other programs that can assist with feral felines. Email info@crossroadsshelter.org
Unfortunately, some cities, counties, and townships do not help the stray animals found in their jurisdiction, leaving the burden of the stray fee to the individuals who have found the stray pets. Suppose you find a stray pet in one of these areas. In that case, we strongly recommend contacting the city, county or township officials where you found this stray pet and encouraging them to add allowances for stray animals to their annual budget so that stray fees do not fall on the finder.
Lost a pet?
If you have lost a pet, please send us an email at info@crossroadsshelter.org with a photo We will get back to you as quickly as we can. All strays
Stray pets at Crossroads have their photo on our adoptable/stray animal page with the name of the city where they were found and the date we received them. Please read the information on their bio for instructions to reclaim your pet before coming to the shelter.
