Veterinary Assistant & Reception Support
Key Responsibilities
Client Service & Reception Duties
Greet clients and patients in a professional, friendly, and empathetic manner
Answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, and manage clinic communications
Check clients in and out, process payments, and maintain accurate records
Provide general information regarding services, policies, and preventative care
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
Veterinary Assistant Duties
Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient handling and restraint
Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas before and after appointments
Clean, sterilize, and organize instruments and equipment
Support basic laboratory tasks and inventory stocking as directed
Monitor patients pre- and post-procedure under supervision
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the clinic
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous veterinary, animal care, medical office, or customer service experience preferred
Comfortable working with animals of varying sizes and temperaments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment
Basic computer and phone system proficiency
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs with assistance when needed
Comfortable bending, kneeling, and reaching regularly
Ability to safely restrain animals with guidance and training
Work Environment
Fast-paced veterinary clinic setting
Exposure to animals, cleaning agents, and medical equipment
Occasional emotional or urgent situations involving pets and clients

Schedule: Required Shifts: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 11:30am-5:00pm
Wage: $15.50-$17.75 DOE
