Job Title: Veterinarian
Location: Crossroads Veterinary Clinic & Animal Shelter, Buffalo, MN
Job Type: Part-time 16-20 hours per week

Job Summary:

Crossroads Veterinary Clinic is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Veterinarian to join their team. This non-profit organization is committed to providing affordable veterinary care focusing on wellness, preventative care, and spay/neuter services. The Clinic Veterinarian will play a key role in supporting both the clinic's and the shelter's mission by delivering high-quality veterinary services while promoting a compassionate and caring approach to animal health.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Executive Director for operations and medical services, the Clinic Veterinarian will perform essential veterinary duties, including spay/neuter procedures and supporting wellness care for both clinic and surgical clients. This role requires a proactive, team-oriented individual who is passionate about animal welfare and committed to delivering excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform spay/neuter surgeries and provide wellness care for clinic and rescue animals.

• Lead and mentor the medical team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

• Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and discretion in all interactions, especially when handling sensitive or confidential information.

• Work closely with staff to support the clinic's mission of providing affordable, compassionate care.

• Contribute to a respectful and inclusive workplace culture.

• Stay organized and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree with an active veterinary license in good standing in the State of Minnesota.

• Experience in spay/neuter surgeries and wellness care for animals.

• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

• Ability to work well as part of a team and align with the organization's mission.

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively.

• Well-organized with the ability to manage time and tasks efficiently.
