Jolene has had a passion for animals all her life and became an advocate for American Pitbull Terriers (APBT’s) after rescuing her first dog, Bud, as a puppy from what would have been a life of fighting in a ring against other dogs. She would have never guessed that years later she would not only connect with a Pitbull rescue and open her home to foster unwanted and neglected Pitbull’s, or join an animal shelter Board of Directors. She and her boyfriend have three fur-kids, Maximus a APBT, Jake a Jack Russell Terrier and Cali a Bulldog. As well as their current foster, Alex. In addition to being on Crossroads Animal Shelter’s Board and fostering, she is responsible for running adoption events for the rescue.
Jolene is a Marketing Analyst at Cargill in Wayzata as well as an Event Planner where she partners with sales on large Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) firms. In her Event Planner role, her focus is on large trade show and customer events that span across the Food Ingredient and Bio Industrial (FIBI) division.
Jolene joined Crossroads Animal Shelter Board in 2015. She is open to the challenge that the Board brings and the rewards of knowing that she is playing a role in the future success of the shelter while helping find fur-ever homes for the various animals that come through the doors at the shelter.
In Jolene’s spare time, she enjoys running 5Ks with her daughters, traveling, reading and going to movies, as well as spending time with her family and fur-babies.
